Week 1: Pre-Season Training

A full track & field training cycle takes about 16 weeks at the high school level. Starting in preseason gives you the time to gradually develop your fitness, strength, technique, and work capacity so you’re ready to compete when the season starts, not just start getting into shape.

The work you put in before the season gives you a head start on the athlete you want to become. We encourage every athlete to take advantage of preseason training to get in shape, build good training habits, and put themselves in the best position to have a successful season.
