Preparations for Tuesdays Meet at Mooresville

Plan ahead.  Stay healthy.  Stay competitive.

The weather is going to be much colder than we have encountered at either of our first two meets.  It is super important that our team is prepared for it.  All kids should have their full warmups when arriving at the school, but it would also be wise to be wearing some additional layers.  Hats and gloves are going to be needed as well.  

Even when it's cold, hydration is still every bit as important.  We need to do a better job of making sure to have water bottles with us, and that we stay hydrated.  Also, as with the last meet, make sure the you eat with enough time to digest the food before the meet.  All athletes should be bringing something to eat after the meet as well.  There is an optimal refuel window of about 30-60 minutes where the body needs the nutrients.  Plan ahead.  Stay healthy.  Stay competitive.
