No Practice Friday (Jan. 30th)

As coaches, we expect our team members to be doing what is necessary to continue to get better.  As coaches, we are expected to do the same.  We will be going to a coaching clinic in Indianapolis on Friday, and will not be back in time for practice, so there will be no team practice after school Friday.

As always, the opportunity still exists to get better.

Sprinters: After doing plyo work for the first time this season, you will probably be sore Friday and Saturday.  One of the best things you could do for yourself is to get a couple of days of easy jog 1-2mi and a good stretch.  Do preventive routine and core work once or twice.  Be ready to hit it hard Monday.

Distance: Maintenance miles and build your base.  Get two or three good runs between 4 and 6 miles, depending on where you are in your training.  Most runners should be up to about 35 weekly miles as a norm, and up to 45 for the top groups.  We need to be building the mileage now.
